NEW YORK ? The suspect in the kidnapping, killing and dismemberment of an 8-year-old boy who got lost after day camp is scheduled to be arraigned.
Levi Aron was scheduled for an arraignment Thursday in Brooklyn State Supreme Court on charges of murder in the death of Leiby Kletzky whose body was found stuffed in a suitcase in a trash bin. The boy's severed feet were found in Aron's refrigerator; carving knives and a bloody board were found in the freezer.
Aron has pleaded not guilty. He was undergoing a psychiatric evaluation to determine whether he was fit for trial after he told his attorney he heard voices. Aron was also placed on suicide watch.
Prosecutors say the little boy asked Aron for directions, and then got into his car.
