Over the weekend during the Rays/A?s game, Shawn Rodriguez of the Rays hit a ball directly into a garbage can. Now, most people would just let the ball sit in the trash can, since it?s, you know, sitting in trash. But one man?s trash is another man?s treasure. Actually, multiple guys decided a foul ball in a trash can was their treasure. So much so that they got in a fight. Next thing you know, they were both ejected by security. Let?s just take a moment to consider what these guys were fighting for: A foul ball in a trash can that came off the bat of Shawn Rodriguez.
If that doesn?t mark the fall of Western Civilization, you can at least see it from here.
