But that should not be a cause of concern as Mackenzie offers a wide range of accommodations from holiday homes to hotels to farm stays and home stays to serviced apartments. These are available in moderate price ranges and you can choose your stay based on your comfort and affordability. You can easily find places to stay within a range of 1 hour travel from Roundhill.

Facilities In The Ski Area

Roundhill provides the basic facilities on the mountain. They have a day lodge with a canteen. Ski equipments are available for hire including skis, boards, harness and nutcracker. Roundhill also has a school for learning snowboard and skiing skills which are at very reasonable prices.

This place is considered to be one of the most inexpensive places for skiing and snowboarding from all over New Zealand. Commercial ski areas in south island are in Canterbury and otago.
