Hostility "Hostel" ? A Movie Review

I really do not know the films often go maybe three times a year, usually for the big screen productions such as The Lord of the Rings or Star Wars or a result of the new King Kong, once in a while or for a play off-beat comedy. This does not mean that I am not looking flicks ? I know, only in the privacy of my home. The problem is that I annoy the public with speech and chewing and the creaking and puffing already. I have a problem of control of my viewing environment, okay?

However, I havecan count on one hand, provided that each of my characters have been cut, the number of so-called horror movie I saw in a theater in my life. The last ? Alien, 1979. The last thing I had deliberately booked to see The Blair Witch Project, 1999. Of course, I have voted for the usual things around Halloween to get my full Freddie, Michael and his gang. It's like anything else, if I want to laugh, I watch comedy, I think, if I see a documentary. I know what I wantExperience, if I want to experience it. And once in a blue moon, I would fear.

This was the case last weekend. So I went to see "Hostel". That seemed to be horror to see the film.

A couple of things. First, I'm not good with the Gore stuff is, "Reanimator" in the sense as a great example of gore went nuts. Secondly, I'm not big impact in the scene, you know ? bump in the night shots. But that is exactly what you are looking for when I do fear. They work. They scare the living shit out of me. So I have a couple of uncomfortable nights later, perhaps a decreased appetite for several hours. In the end, they can reject 's actually the movie and I'm leaving two or three years.

Not so with "Hostel".

I should have known something was when the ticket guy at the counter warned me about the content and offered to refund a refund if I leave before the end. But no, I thought it was all part of the campaign, a bit "as ifTheater distributed sacks "Mark of the Devil" passed in 1970.

I was wrong, too bad! I heard his words.

My rating for movies is quite simple: two large eyes (large, that is, never the eyelids), two eyes (well, that is, kept awake all the way through), an eye (okay, that the moments of sleepiness) and two closed eyes (the poor, that is, he slept).

"Hostel" has two eye-to-so-tight-I-had-to-have-it-open-with-tire-iron. My eyelidshas terminated involuntarily dig for a long piece of steel its way into the bare thigh of a young male torture screams memory prop. E 'was only five seconds, which would be about five minutes ? I felt like a lifetime ? Attack of the pure, genuine, without compromise, without apology Gore. Fast does not have it have done, my stomach swirled. But at the end of the darkness and no longer screams. There was a short break to walk along the plot and the heroes in the inevitable sprint25 minutes of slaughter and depravity salacious desperate. The arms were like a dripping hydrant uncapped.

If the anger began disfiguring and I slipped further down my body could go without the sticky theater floor, pressed tight to my eyes, and with how I rode the crazy rollercoaster of body tissue bleeding. I soon learned that it is not low enough to get the stadium seats.

I will not go into details of the final, so in reality I can not, becausein all honesty I have not seen much. But I need not dwell on it. I'll just go my review: This film is not horror. E 'wrong!

Use is based a "true events" premise loosely killed an undocumented practice in Thailand, where the souls collect by paying customers to the insurance money for the families left. In this case, it is a poor, remote, lawless Slovakian city whose sole activity is the business to attract young healthy men in a wetRemote dilapidated warehouse, where they worried as sacrificial lambs for wealthy men that pay handsomely for the chance to torture and kill to be purchased. Americans live to take a piece of $ 25,000, $ 15,000 EU citizens, and all the other $ 5,000 for the locals who put them in, the hostel is a great player in the system. Everyone in town is in on it, after all, it seems an endless stream of revenue from a lot of CEO's are confused ? people with prostitutes and Vegas bored. There is a whole newDefinition of a cottage industry.

But the reason I say that horror is not because I'm not afraid. He hit me on the head with the limbs and lifeless Dolby terror. If I am appalled that, I want a girl ten years his father was chewing out his arm bleeding occurs in the "living dead" joy. Or want to see a slimy alien pop unexpectedly from a traveler unaware of stomach space. Now that's horror. I can handle it. At the end of the day, I can say everything is. Pretend "

But "Hostel" delights in graphic detail of the worst inhumanity to man. And cashing in on the reality of snuff films. Profit from the truth of Dr. Josef Mengele. It fills the minds of the young men, the most important (and perhaps only) audience, with the unimaginable actual human potential. The surrounding area and scrape off the bottom, which I thought was a bottomless pit of DNA-gone bad. It ends with a sense of hopelessness that nothing has been straightened, his torture isas usual.

And the film is profitable and it's wrong! The only thing wrong is the rating. I am surprised that the film was rated NC-17. Amazed! The MPAA was either asleep or with the switch under the thumb of Abramoff lobbying.

With regard to the admission of Tarantino is concerned, is what he thinks? I do not know. I mean, who has the right to do what he wants, as long as it is not harmful. But somehow this film seemsharmful. This is not to scare you. It is indulging in the worst of the worst.

And in no way do I off the hook on this is not me. I paid for it. I was wrong too!

You see, I am a lackey First Amendment. Lion's Gate, the production company, has every right to create and promote what they want. But this does not mean that what they choose to do, free to be judged right or wrong, and the guy you are wrong.

It is a long time before we see one in a horror movienew theater. Maybe ever. I think I'll just dust off the "Plan Nine from Outer Space" the next time I have the desire to shock.

Pathetic, that's more my style.
