www.detroitsharp.org During the last weekend of March, many professionals and entrepreneurs from the Detroit area got together to come up with new ideas for businesses in order to stimulate job growth in Michigan, a state that is now plagued with a 12% unemployment rate. Our idea is to create a Low-Profit Limited Liability Corporation called D-Sharp, (Detroit Sharp) dedicated to stimulate Detroit?s local music scene by empowering artists and giving them the resources they need to succeed. This will give artists an incentive to stay here in Detroit, by creating new avenues for generating revenue, so they don?t have to move to other parts of the country in seek of sustainable profits.
