Total Safety US Inc., an integrated safety services company in Houston, has named Troy Thacker president and CEO effective Aug. 5.
Thacker will take over from David Fanta, who is retiring, according to a statement from the company. Fanta will transition into the role of special adviser to the CEO, and he will continue as a member of the company?s board of directors.
Most recently, Thacker was president and CEO of Houston-based R360 Environmental Solutions Inc., which was acquired by Waste Connections Inc. (NYSE: WCN) in the Woodlands last year.
Prior to joining R360, Thacker was a founding partner at Paine & Partners LLC, a New York private equity firm.
Total Safety has about 1,800 full-time employees worldwide. The company provides integrated safety and compliance services to a variety of industries, including refining, oil and gas, and petrochemical businesses.
