Axis Communications' presence at the exhibition underlines the company's commitment to providing the solutions Saudi Arabia needs to aid expanding vertical industries such as retail, banking and transport in addition to the large government sector in the Kingdom.
"Saudi Arabia is growing rapidly, with sustained enlargement of its vertical industries leading to a projected $400bn outlay on security measures required to facilitate this growth in the next five years," said Baraa Al Akkad, Regional Sales Director, Middle East, Axis Communications.
"With a lack of analog legacy systems in place in these industries, there is an opportunity to adopt the latest IP surveillance and security technologies from the outset, providing a massive range of benefits to companies beyond what non-ip-based? systems offer, bringing instant value-addition to businesses," he concluded.
He added, "As market leader, Axis Communications has the products and the experience to provide these complete, tailored digital IP surveillance solutions to businesses in Saudi Arabia which offer lots of supplementary uses in addition to the core security benefits of IP network cameras. With the Middle East security and safety sector worth nearly $700m, Axis is pleased to participate in an event as important to the region's safety sector as IFSEC & OSH Arabia, and, as a global sponsor of IFSEC, Axis is delighted to be able to bring the benefits of the exhibition to KSA."
At the exhibition Axis is showcasing its full range of solutions, with visitors able to see the company's market leading products and technologies on action. The Axis stand includes products grouped into vertical industry specific displays, and the company is not only demonstrating the security aspects of its full range of solution, it is also highlighting additional cross-functional benefits and capabilities associated with each vertical industry.
For example, in the retail sector, while Axis' solutions can monitor thefts and vandalism, it can also track the number of shoppers entering a retail establishment, or provide information to support the development of better store layouts - via heat mapping and dwell time applications.
Axis' solutions cover a wide range of industry-specific sectors including government, retail, city surveillance, transportation, banking and encoder solutions.
In addition to the vertical displays, class-leading features such as thermal imaging, Lightfinder and Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) are being demonstrated in a dedicated dark room on the stand.
Visitors are able to test the capabilities of products equipped with these features, such as the Q1921 Thermal Network Camera series, the Lightfinder equipped P-3364-LVE fixed dome camera and the award winning Q1602 unit. The Axis Camera Management (ACM) tool and HDTV solutions are also featured.
IFSEC also provides the ideal opportunity to strengthen partner networks, something which Axis is keen to do in the region. Already with a very robust partner set up, by expanding this network in Saudi Arabia, Axis can bring even greater levels of customer service to business in the Kingdom, as well as creating a strong base to meet increased demand for IP surveillance systems.
