This is the debut album from the London-based Canadian singer-songwriter Jain Wells. Her background as a psychologist and author is evident throughout the lyrics, which are about personal development and growth. There?s simple and wise advice in these catchy songs about love and challenge, self observation, and moving on ? almost as if she has set her book?Heighten Your Awareness, Change Your Life?to music. The production by Greg Fitzgerald, who has worked with the likes of Madonna
and Kylie, is ultra smooth. Though this doesn?t break any new ground, the relaxing Dido-esque coffee
shop pop is easy on the ears and accomplished within its genre.
