Tunxis Mead is the home of Farmington soccer. From 5-year-old rookies to Farmington High's stellar team, most of the town's soccer players gather here on Saturdays during the season.
In addition to soccer fields as far as the eye can see, the park also has two baseball fields, a basketball court and a refreshment stand. For younger siblings brought to the field, a playground is a welcome distraction.
The town's skate park is at the Mead and is a local hotspot for older kids with either skateboards or bikes.
