Median age: 36.3

Percentage of population 65 and over: 12 percent

66.2 percent white, 26.5 percent Hispanic or Latino origin, 8.1 percent black, 7.2 percent Asian

LANGUAGE:

Language other than English spoken at home: 28.6 percent

EDUCATION:

High school graduate or higher: 84.7 percent

Bachelor's degree or higher: 21.7 percent

MONEY:

Median household income: $51,001

Families below poverty level: 11.1 percent

Housing units occupied by owners: 57.2 percent

Housing units occupied by renters: 42.8 percent

2008 PRESIDENTIAL RESULTS:

Barack Obama, 55.2 percent; John McCain, 42.7 percent

REGISTERED VOTERS:

Republican, 471,292

Democratic, 566,360

NEVADA QUICK FACTS:
